Pastoral Worker
Mrs Clifford is our Pastoral Worker.
She is employed to help meet the well-being needs of our children. She supports families and will signpost parents to services when needed.
Her role involves:
- Working with vulnerable children who have been identified for support, gaining insight into the family and providing parenting strategies when required
- Leading the Early Help process for families in need of additional support
- Promoting good attendance and punctuality
- Developing effective partnerships with parents
- Acting on safeguarding disclosures
- Organise, facilitate and deliver support and interventions which improve family relationships
- Attending safeguarding meetings and complete specified follow up activities with families
- Supporting with behaviour management
ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant
Mrs Clifford and Mrs Machin are our ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) specialist teaching assistants, who have a wealth of experience of working with children.
ELSAs are trained and regularly supervised by the Educational Psychologists in our Local Authority, Cheshire East.
An ELSA is a warm and caring person who wants to help your child feel happy in school and to reach their potential educationally. Their aim is to remove the barriers to learning and to have happy children in school and at home.
