The "Friends" is a registered charity (1046749) run by Parents, Carers and Grandparents which works within the school's community to facilitate a rich and varied learning environment for pupils at Church Lane Academy which is:

What we do

During the School year we organise fundraising events in all shapes and sizes which not only raise funds but they bring our wonderful school community together.

The committee for this academic year are as follows:

• Treasurer – Ewe Kettle
• Secretary – Emma Donald

Each year we commit to buying items such as water bottles for new starters, dictionaries for our Year 6 leavers, Lunchtime awards and Christmas party food and gifts. We also support fantastic events run by the school such as Wistonia, Sports days, the Festival of Fiction and the Carnival of Culture.

This year, our fundraising efforts will go towards buying new playground equipment. Other smaller projects will also be considered for funding via funding requests to the Friends Committee.
